About WTTI

Background

Western Trade Training Institute (WTTI) is a licensed Private Vocational Institute (PVI) that has operated in Saskatchewan since 1989. WTTI specializes in the delivery of certification training for the Mobile Crane Operator, Boom Truck Operator and Overhead Travelling Crane trades.

In addition to delivering training to a wide variety of private sector employers, all apprenticeship training in Saskatchewan has been exclusive to WTTI since 1989.

WTTI instructors have Mobile Crane Operator Red Seal Interprovincial certification.

All course and curriculum materials have been developed and copyrighted by WTTI and meet the accreditation standards of Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC), and the safety certification requirements set-out by The Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2020 Section 13 & 14 as well Table 13 .

Training courses include the following:

  1. WTTI delivers Competent Operator training according to Saskatchewan Occupational Health & Safety Regulations
  2. WTTI delivers Level 1, 2 and 3 Mobile Crane Operator apprenticeship training and Level 1 and 2 Boom Truck Operator apprenticeship training for individuals indentured in the trade through SATCC.
  3. WTTI delivers the Upgrader Mobile Crane Operator and the Upgrader Boom Truck Operator apprenticeship training for individuals indentured in this trade, or for individuals challenging the Red Seal Journeyperson exam.
  4. WTTI delivers Pre-Employment Certificate programs for the Mobile Crane Operator and Boom Truck Operator trades and SATCC provides trade credit for the 10-week course.
