Introduction
- Overhead travelling cranes lift, lower and move a load horizontally. Overhead cranes have high lift capacities for load movement. Crane travel is directed by an operator either manually or with a wired pendant station or wireless controls.
- Training is customized to equipment and operation application.
- Typically the two day training includes rigging and operation of a travelling overhead crane followed by a written exam. The second day is practical training on pre-operation inspection, operation and communication signals followed by an exam.
- Upon completion the employer will receive a copy of the certificates and the participants receive a wallet card certificate.
- An one day refresher course is available with proof of prior training. This would included advanced rigging calculations and operation instruction and practical experience.
